EXPLANATION:-

Mostly all the satavahana coins are made up of copper, potin, and Lead.
We can see mostly in all the coins of satavahanas having many different types of symbols on coins which was not seen in any types of coins of other regions.

The Satavahana dynasty coins have at least "5" types of symbols on each coin.
Most symbols are
1. Modified Ujjain symbol (as seen above)
2. Waves like a symbol
3. Sun
4. Cresents
5. 6 arched hills
6. The King's name also along with the symbols.

And many other symbols that are unknown until now.

The satavahana rulers were from Andhra so their capital was in Andhra but after they occupied the full Deccan place as their kingdom then they changed their capital from Andhra to "pratisthanPura" in Maharashtra. But according to some scripts, they say that the first king of satavahanas "Simuka" made "pratisthanpura" their capital.

After that, they changed their capital from pratisthanpura to "Amaravati" in Andhra. so we don't have perfect evidence to say what is the capital of satavahanas.

IMPORTANT POINT :

THE SATAVAHANA KING SIMUKA USED TO WORK AS A WARFARE MINISTER UNDER KING "ASHOKA". AFTER THE ASHOKA'S LEFT HIS KINGDOM THE SMALL KINGS UNDER HIM MADE THEM INDEPENDENT RULERS.

THANK YOU.
